Description

This I Am Your Sunshine and Your Shadow limited edition signed print was created by Nuu-chah-nulth artist Joshua Prescott. The print is about 19 1 2 inches or 49 1 2 centimeters square and has an edition size of 100. Joshua has created unique variants within this edition of prints – while some prints have been silkscreened only, others have the addition of hand-painted design elements.

I created this print while reflecting on love and a relationship that I was in. I came across a poem by Rumi titled Looking For Your Face . Rumi was a Persian Poet and Sufi Master. He was born in 1207. He is said to be the most popular poet in the USA. In this poem he talks about love and how at times one must be the sunshine to guide the other out of darkness. One must be humble enough to accept love in order to be led out of the darkness. Perhaps, only love is powerful enough to overcome darkness.
