This is a sand-blasted and painted yellow cedar Wolf Paddle by Trevor Hunt from the Kwakwaka wakw Nation. Trevor has applied his sandblasted technique to this paddle and the result is a complex and deeply grooved contemporary design.Â
The Wolf Symbol represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding, and intelligence. Of all land animals, the Wolf has the strongest supernatural powers and is the most accomplished hunter.

The paddle is about 63 inches or 160 centimeters long, about 5 3 4 inches or 14 1 2 centimeters wide, and about 1 inch or 2 1 4 centimeters thick.
